If liquid has gotten into the motor base, safety comes first:

• Immediately turn the unit off at the wall outlet and unplug the power cord.
• Do not plug the unit back in or use it again until you're completely certain it's fully dry, inside and out.
• Depending on how much liquid got in, this can take up to 24 hours to dry out completely.

Once it's unplugged:

1. Tighten the cup an extra half-turn onto the blade assembly, then carefully lift the cup and blade together off the motor base.
2. Wipe out any visible liquid or residue inside the base using a damp cloth or paper towel.
3. For hard-to-reach areas, grooves, or the actuator tabs, use a cotton swab or toothbrush. A 50/50 mix of warm water and white vinegar (about 20ml each) works well on stubborn residue.
4. Finish with a final wipe-down using a damp paper towel.
5. Leave the unit to dry fully — up to 24 hours — before plugging it back in.
