Hot or warm ingredients — like soups, purées, or baby food — can only be blended safely in a vented pitcher or a vented lid, never in a standard sealed cup. A sealed cup has no way for steam to escape, so pressure builds up and can force the cup and blade apart, sending hot contents flying. This is a genuine injury risk, not just a performance issue.
Products with a vented pitcher or lid (safe for hot ingredients):
- NutriBullet Select 1200
- NutriBullet Combo 1200
- Nutribullet Triple Prep
- NutriBullet Smart Sense Combo
- NutriBullet Power Core Blender (vented lid)
- Magic Bullet Combo Blender (via the Blending Pitcher attachment, lid and cap fully closed)
- NutriBullet Baby (via the Batch Bowl with Lid only — not the Short Cup)
- NutriBullet Immersion Blender (used directly in the pot, so this doesn't apply in the same way)
If you Nutribullet or Magic Bullet product is not listed above, please ensure you DO NOT BLEND HOT, WARM, CARBONATED, OR EFFERVESCENT INGREDIENTS. Always refer to the product user guide for safe operating instructions.
If you're blending hot ingredients in a vented pitcher, start on low speed, keep the vent unobstructed, and be careful when removing the lid afterward — steam can still escape.
